In the virtual public space, the rise of the "Marriage is Scary" narrative trend triggers the phenomenon of fear of marriage (gamophobia), characterized by extreme anxiety toward financial responsibilities and emotional risks post-marriage. This condition is closely related to the sharp decline in marriage rates, including in the city of Semarang. This study aims to analyze the influence of fear of marriage on the intention to delay marriage among Generation Z in Semarang City. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The research population focuses on Generation Z aged 20-29 years in the city of Semarang, with a total population of 257,078 individuals and a sample of 100 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique. Primary data was collected through the technique of distributing questionnaires to respondents who are part of Generation Z in the city of Semarang. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained using the literature study technique. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis with the aid of IBM SPSS software version 25. The results of this study show a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) with a regression coefficient (B) of 0.340. The coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.132 indicates that fear of marriage can explain 13.2% of the variation in the intention to postpone marriage. Thus, the higher the fear of marriage an individual has, the greater their tendency to postpone marriage.
Deanita Bella Nadia Itona Siregar Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-27 2026-06-27 10 1 1 10 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.79 Pemanfaatan Instagram dan TikTok sebagai Media Komunikasi Digital dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA): Sebuah Kajian Pustaka dan Analisis Isi https://jpsik-fisib.unpak.ac.id/index.php/jpsik/article/view/83
The development of social media opens up new opportunities in language learning, including Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). Instagram and TikTok have the potential to become complementary learning media that are multimodal, flexible, and interactive. This study aims to analyze the use of the two platforms in supporting the development of listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills of BIPA learners. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and content analysis techniques. The data in the form of 15 scientific articles were selected objectively based on the criteria of relevance to technology-based language learning and BIPA, published in the 2021–2025 range, and came from SINTA, Scopus, and other trusted academic journals. Data was collected through Google Scholar, Scopus, and SINTA searches. The analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, categorization, synthesis, and drawing conclusions to identify patterns of social media use in BIPA learning. The results show that Instagram is effectively used to present Indonesian vocabulary, grammar, and culture through structured visual content, while TikTok supports the development of productive skills through content creation, short videos, and digital collaboration. Both platforms have been shown to increase learning motivation, learner engagement, and exposure to the use of authentic language. However, its use requires systematic pedagogical planning to be in harmony with learning achievements. This study concludes that Instagram and TikTok have great potential as complementary media for BIPA learning when combined with the right pedagogical strategy.
Renny Soelistiyowati Harries Marithasari Alfa Taufan Latif Rici Tri Harpin Pranata Fahmi Fuad Cholagi Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-27 2026-06-27 10 1 11 20 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.83 Pengaruh Unsur-Unsur Komunikasi Pelatihan Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Badan Narkotika Nasional Lido https://jpsik-fisib.unpak.ac.id/index.php/jpsik/article/view/73
The issue regarding training institutions is very important for an organization (government), and an appropriate communication strategy is needed to convey messages effectively. Underlying this phenomenon is a fundamental problem in spatial policy communication, which tends to operate in a one-directional manner and frequently disregards meaningful community involvement in decision-making processes. This study analyzes development communication practices and community participation in green land conversion policies in Denpasar City. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-interpretive approach, conducted in areas experiencing changes in green space function. Informants consisted of local government officials, community figures, landowners, and affected residents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation studies, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that green land conversion is driven by economic pressure, weak regulatory implementation, and limited dialogue between the government and the community. Policy communication tends to be one-directional, resulting in minimal public participation that occurs only after decisions have been made. These findings underscore the need to strengthen transparent and participatory development communication in order to sustain green spaces and improve urban spatial governance in Denpasar.
Krisnha Putu Ni Luh Yulyana Dewi Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-29 2026-06-29 10 1 29 37 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.45 Strategi Komunikasi Sebaya Duta GenRe: Integrasi Homofili dan Nilai Budaya Sunda dalam Pencegahan Stunting https://jpsik-fisib.unpak.ac.id/index.php/jpsik/article/view/74
This study analyzes the communication strategies of Generation Planning Ambassadors (Duta GenRe) in the Zero Growth Stunting program in Bogor City by integrating social psychology perspectives and Sundanese cultural values. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews with key informants from DPPKB, GenRe Forum, GenRe Ambassadors, and community members, the study finds strategies encompassing: (1) selection of credible peer communicators based on psychological homophily; (2) target segmentation by psychological vulnerability; (3) message construction integrating Sundanese values of silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh; and (4) media selection adapted to urban Sundanese youth's cognitive preferences. This study aims to analyze the use of disaster-related information from media and its implications for information literacy and disaster preparedness among Generation Z. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through an online questionnaire distributed to respondents aged 19–24 years. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, focusing on individuals who actively use digital media. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify patterns of media usage, levels of trust in information, and the preparedness of respondents in facing disasters. The results indicate that approximately 76% of respondents access disaster information primarily through social media, followed by mass media and official government sources. The level of trust in information is relatively high, 74% of respondents trusting information from credible sources. In addition, 70 percent of respondents perceive spatial-based information, such as risk maps and real-time notifications, as easier to understand compared to textual information. However, practical preparedness remains relatively low, with few respondents having evacuation plans and limited participation in disaster simulation exercises. These findings reveal a gap between access to information and actual preparedness. This study highlights that the effectiveness of disaster communication depends not only on media platforms but also on message delivery strategies that are educational, practical, and action-oriented.
Feri Ferdinan Alamsyah Rina Muthia Harahap Valianty Sariswara Enjang Pera Irawan Viena Rizka Aryanto Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-07-01 2026-07-01 10 1 67 76 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.71 Resiliensi Penggemar sebagai Strategi Komunikasi Krisis: Studi Kasus Fandom Kim Hyun-Joong Indonesia dalam Menghadapi Cancel Culture https://jpsik-fisib.unpak.ac.id/index.php/jpsik/article/view/80
Cancel culture has evolved into a powerful social phenomenon that significantly threatens the image and career sustainability of figur publiks in the digital era. Kim Hyun-Joong, a South Korean artist, experienced this phenomenon through a prolonged legal controversy with his former girlfriend from 2014 to 2020. Despite the Supreme Court of South Korea ruling him not guilty in 2020, his public image continued to be affected by damaging narratives circulating in digital spaces. This study employs a qualitative case study method to examine how the Indonesian fanbase of Kim Hyun-Joong functions as an integrated crisis communication system in supporting the artist's image recovery process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with fanbase administrators and active members, supplemented by systematic observation of fanbase accounts on social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. The findings reveal five interconnected strategic functions performed by the fanbase: information curation, action coordination, opinion building, communication bridging, and digital archiving. These functions form a cohesive, self-sustaining communication ecosystem. Fan resilience, analyzed through Grotberg's framework of I Have, I Am, and I Can, serves as the foundation for consistent, creative, and sustainable digital activities even after the immediate pressure of cancel culture gradually subsided. This research demonstrates that social media is not merely a platform for self-expression but an effective strategic communication tool with real and measurable impact on digital reputation recovery. The study contributes to the expansion of community-based crisis communication theory and participatory culture in the context of the Korean Wave phenomenon.
Ratih Siti Aminah Kandita Aulia Putri Muslim Muslim Yuyus Rustandi Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-07-03 2026-07-03 10 1 77 86 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.80 Bauran Promosi Digital Restoran All You Can Eat Lokal dalam Menarik Minat Beli Pelanggan https://jpsik-fisib.unpak.ac.id/index.php/jpsik/article/view/11
This study aims to analyze the promotional mix of Gyuniku Indonesia Restaurant (RGI), its obstacles, and the elements that play a role in attracting customer interest. The research employed a descriptive qualitative adopted Kotler and Armstrong’spromotional mix, which includes advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing, personal selling, and public relations. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the RGI’s owner as the primary informant and customers as supporting informants, and were further reinforced by source triangulation. Field observations and documentation of promotional media were also used as supplementary data. The findings reveal that sales promotion is the most influential element in increasing customer purchase interest. Programs such as Buy 4 Get 1, Lunch Promo IDR 85,000, and a 10% discount effectively attracted consumer attention. In addition, public relations efforts through direct customer engagement and external partnerships helped strengthen the restaurant’s positive image. The main challenges faced by RGI are limited resources and narrow media reach. In conclusion, RGI’s promotional mix is relevant but needs improvement in media reach and promotional intensity to remain competitive in the AYCE market. These findings are expected to provide practical insights for culinary business practitioners in designing more effective marketing communication strategies.
Christine Farnanda Firdanianty Pramono Karina Pramita Ningrum Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-07-07 2026-07-07 10 1 87 96 10.33751/jpsik.v10i1.11
