Focus and Scope
Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi (JPSIK) has been registered in BRIN and has obtained an electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN): 2656-8306.
Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi is managed by the Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences (FISIB), Pakuan University. This journal invites researchers, academics, practitioners, and students to submit scientific articles derived from research findings, papers, and scholarly ideas on various topics related to the social aspects of communication studies. The journal is published twice a year (July and December periods) in digital format.
In collaboration with editorial partners, submitted articles are reviewed prior to publication. The journal employs a double-blind peer review system, with each manuscript being reviewed by two independent reviewers.

Peer Review Process
Submitted manuscripts will be evaluated by reviewers using the blind review method to assess the relevance and originality of the content. The editor will inform the author of the review results within a period of 1 to 2 months. However, please note that the review process for manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi may take up to 3 months.
Reviewers assess the following aspects: quality, substance of the writing—which includes novelty, originality, usefulness, validity of citations, and the accuracy of the bibliography.
Reviewers will receive the manuscript from the editor without knowing the identity of the author. If the manuscript does not match the reviewer’s area of expertise, it may be returned to the editor with a recommendation to assign it to a more suitable reviewer.
Publication Frequency
This journal invites researchers, academics, practitioners, and students to submit scientific articles in the form of research results, papers, and scientific ideas on various topics in the field of social sciences within communication studies. The journal is published twice a year (July and December editions) in digital format. It collaborates with local editors who are university professors to review the articles before publication.
Open Access Policy
Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Ilmu Komunikasi (JPSIK) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
JPSIK is a peer reviewed journal with open access. The article processing or delivery of the manuscript submitted to the manager or editor through an online system or by using the OJS Open Access publishing model.
In this publishing model, papers are peer-reviewed in the normal way under editorial control. The paper appears electronically and freely available from our website. Authors can also use articles that have been published in pdf format either for non-commercial use on a personal website or non-commercialinstitutions.
